I haven't read the book of Revelations.. heard it read thru once about 6 years ago when I listened to it from cover to cover for the first time. I still haven't actually read it all the way thru yet. I say this because my observations are that it influences perspective on the Tanak. As I'm getting closer and closer to my MelkiTzadiq Yohusha, new books are being brought to my attention to look at as they are offered in rebuttal to this Melkitzadiq priesthood.
This time Zechariah. Zechariah 14 specifically as to pointing to a physical temple when Yohusha returns. Which I read and... I had to go "what made you believe that there will be a physical temple when Yohusha returns?" And she said the vessels.. and back to reading I went. I'm reading from the Septuagint. I don't think I saw that word but I think I saw what she saw in vs. 20b. So if this happens for me in scripture offered that's not quite clear to me, I'll usually decide to just read the whole book. So I start and I get to Chapter 3 and it mentions 'Jesus' and I'm taken aback! Woah what did I just read, when was this written? What was going on.. so I thought I'll read a different translation. Ah! This one says Joshua! And I make the connection! It is speaking of Yohusha! The Hebrew spelling of His name is much closer in sound to the English Joshua. I had to stop studying for some time and just kept thinking on this. But tonight I am up and Ryan had to sleep and I'm reading Zechariah further! I start over and get to chapter 1:18-19 and out comes the highlighter. Horns? Didn't I hear something about horns in Revelation? So I quick Google and just a surface study, yep verses about horns being nations.. Ok sorry.. so I read on in Zechariah.. I get to chapter 2:1-5 and it again makes me think of when Yohusa started his ministry. But out comes the highlighter at vs. 7, who is the daughter of Babylon?? I'd heard of Babylon being where many of Israel were taken but that some remained in the land as well. My mind jumps to the Maccabees. What year were these guys? (By the way if you didn't know Chaunakah is happening soon and I've read both books of Maccabees. Loved them! What history!) for that matter what year is Zechariah? Off to google again and Zechariah is 520-518bc, the Maccabeen Revolt is 167-160bc and I find this bit of history http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/Maccabees.html and it's awesome! I saw this in that link "The Hasmoneans claimed not only the throne of Judah, but also the post of High Priest. This assertion of religious authority conflicted with the tradition of the priests coming from the descendants of Moses' brother Aaron and the tribe of Levi." And I'm once again, like WOAH. So I had to get this down and I want to go back to reading! I'll add more later but tell me what you think!! 🤓🤓
